Lazy ginger cat,
Sunning on a rock. Calm?
Deceptively so.

Rain increases pain.
Left then right, or both, knees have
their own agenda.
So many green shades,
Shapes, sizes, smells. I plant and
Hope they remain green.
Hot, hot, hot. No breeze.
Clouds build westward, winds pick up
A storm breaks the chain.
New road, curves snake like
Green fields all around. I feel
happy to be here.
Tired, sleepy, like
I’ve been drinking. Side effects
are different each time.
Drip, drip, I watch as
clear liquid flows into my
vein. And I feel fine.
Quiet weekend, we
rest and hope tomorrow will
be calm and easy.
Home again, same mess
As before. Disorder reigns
Again and again
Hot on the road, too
Many people rushing to
Some destination
