Cats sunning, taunting
Lily wants to chase, alas
Dogs must be leashed.

Slightest touch of green,
Kisses the edge of trees, grows
A bit more each day.

Billows of clouds, light
Reflected in pinks and golds,
From the setting sun.

Shiny, thick, fragrant
Lovely, lovely chocolate.
Added herbs, spice, fun.

Smell the aroma,
Taste slowly, melting on
The tongue. Ha! As if!
Hard not to gobble it all
Down in a rush. Delicious.

The train moves, sunshine
Streams, my face both hot and cold,
Traveling with speed

Today is just clear
Enough to see the mountains
Majestic, quiet

Snow returns, dancing
Through the air, as if to mock
Bulbs searching for sun.

Buds and shoots peak out,
Birds sing more often, soft and
Moist wind, signs of spring?

Lazy Sunday, warm,
Lox, cream cheese and jazz, the air
Is soft, we relax.

Two months, first haiku
Days when i write more than one –
Or words hard to find.

A long tunnel, then
Into the sun. Today –
Sunglasses needed.

Drive time radio
Plays over the Internet
Regardless of time.
Someone, somewhere coming home
Tired after a long day.
