Tired, sleepy, like
I’ve been drinking. Side effects
are different each time.
Drip, drip, I watch as
clear liquid flows into my
vein. And I feel fine.
Quiet weekend, we
rest and hope tomorrow will
be calm and easy.
New pills, more meds. Still.
Waiting for the next round of
Doctor’s visits. Sigh.
Home again, same mess
As before. Disorder reigns
Again and again
Hot on the road, too
Many people rushing to
Some destination
Blue, orange, yellow sky
Illumination so bright
And so slow to fade.
Clouds reach across the sky
Following the wind in straight
Lines, bottoms flattened.
Modern windmills, two
Arms and a head, endlessly
Spinning round and round.
Leafy canopy
Filters sunlight as we drive
Along ancient roads
Reclaimed land stretches
To the horizon. Green fields,
Cows and sandy dunes.
Clusters of star like
Flowers, brilliant colors perch
On shiny green leaves.
Modern windmills, two
Arms and a head, endlessly
Spinning round and round.
