Tradition, robes, grace
Dinner at high table – step
Back in time, new place.
I open the door
To quiet, no eager face.
The pup is away
As we will be tomorrow
Get away to then return.
Eyelids droop, and I
Yawn. Stretching, turning, burrowing.
Sleep takes hold of me.
Everyone rushing
Weekend shopping, not enough
Parking. Tiring day.
Full moon silver bright
Contrast shadows high, awake
Middle of the night
Blue and white to gold
and lilac, misty jewels –
shades of the sunset.
Ruffled petals, green
Veins. Subtle shades cream to peach.
Sweet parrot tulips.
Fencing around fields
Anticipating summer
When cows roam outside
