Foggy days, dark thoughts.
Strange dreams, sad memories. This
Is the longest month.

And consonants too!
Never know when to double
No rhyme or reason.

An e, i or a
Combine an o with u? Damn
Vowels. Every time.

Pink and gold shine through
The icy haze hanging low
Warm light but cold air

Cold and damp, stinging
My face in gray fog, water
Droplets adorn branches

Have been ignoring my writing of late….but this week, I was inspired to write a few more haiku. So here they are….

Beautiful morning
Cool and still, blue sky, fresh green
Stop and breathe and smile

2014/06/13

Diffuse golden light
The sun sets, rain pours down. To
The east, a rainbow.

and earlier the same day —-

Dark skies, warm, still air.
Then rain falls, tap, tap, tap.
The air moves. We smile.

Dark, threatening skies
Stillness broken by the wind
Weighty air, rain soon.

Gray skies, brain gone blank
To get things done, long drive
Ahead, some tough days

Sun breaks through, fog is
Banished. Hiding away, back
Another morning.

Gray morning fog
Strange light, both bright and dismal
Uniform sadness.

Gray slides over blue
Edges illuminated
By a stubborn sun.
