An e, i or a
Combine an o with u? Damn
Vowels. Every time.
Pink and gold shine through
The icy haze hanging low
Warm light but cold air
Cold and damp, stinging
My face in gray fog, water
Droplets adorn branches
Exploding green, bright
Fresh, full of life, reaching for
sun, always growing.
Young leaves, bright green, fresh.
Poking up from beneath earth
Time to bloom and sun.
It’s been a long time – so here’s a weather inspired haiku
Gray wet blanket looms
Endless monochromatic soup
Icy fingers grip.
Sky darkens, it rains.
Now there’s sun for a while, clouds
Rain cycle again.
Have been ignoring my writing of late….but this week, I was inspired to write a few more haiku. So here they are….
2014/06/14
Beautiful morning
Cool and still, blue sky, fresh green
Stop and breathe and smile
2014/06/13
Diffuse golden light
The sun sets, rain pours down. To
The east, a rainbow.
and earlier the same day —-
Dark skies, warm, still air.
Then rain falls, tap, tap, tap.
The air moves. We smile.
2014/06/09
Dark, threatening skies
Stillness broken by the wind
Weighty air, rain soon.
Linoleum floors
Footsteps echo, fluorescent lights
Same old hospital
Gray skies, brain gone blank
To get things done, long drive
Ahead, some tough days
